Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Software Engineer to join our Customer Systems team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient software systems that meet the needs of our customers. You will work closely with our business stakeholders, application owners, and other engineers to ensure that our systems are reliable, secure, and meet the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient software systems using Java and Java-based technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet customer needs
- Work with business stakeholders, application owners, and other engineers to ensure that our systems are reliable, secure, and meet the highest standards of quality
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure that our code is maintainable, efficient, and meets the highest standards of quality
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure that our systems are well-documented and easy to understand
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry and apply this knowledge to improve our systems and processes
- Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on backend systems
- Strong understanding of Java and Java-based technologies, including Spring, REST, and multi-threading
- Experience with database design and data access technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases
- Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, testing, and continuous integration
- Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on backend systems
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Azure
- Experience with DevOps tools, including Jenkins and Docker
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, including secure coding and threat modeling
