Responsibilities
As an Entry-Level Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Data Entry and Management: Inputting data from paper documents into digital spreadsheets, updating order statuses for customers, and double-checking your work to ensure accuracy.
- Data Verification and Quality Control: Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities if possible, and checking the output to ensure data integrity.
- Research and Data Retrieval: Researching and obtaining further information for incomplete documents, applying data program techniques and procedures to ensure accurate data entry.
- Report Generation and Storage: Generating reports, storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations to maintain data security.
- Document Scanning and Printing: Scanning documents and printing files, when needed, to support data entry and customer service operations.
- Customer Service Support: Providing exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely order updates.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong Computer Skills: Excellent typing skills, with the ability to enter data quickly and accurately.
- Basic Knowledge of Touch Typing System and Database Management Tools: Familiarity with touch typing and database management tools, such as Access or SQL.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to think critically and analytically, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
