Job Summary
The Director of Global Data Strategy – Risk Finance will lead the Global Data Strategy group within Risk Finance, responsible for developing and implementing a centralized data strategy that drives business growth and improves customer outcomes. This role will require a strong understanding of data science principles, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex business problems and will be able to lead a team of data scientists and analysts to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Global Data Strategy – Risk Finance, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the strategic evaluation of blithequark credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance
- Owning precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and becoming a subject matter expert of the applicable tools (troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, identifying enhancements and automation possibilities, and teaching other customers to drive adoption)
- Developing and maintaining preferred and ad-hoc reviews used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; providing credit-associated analytical support
- Developing and presenting key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management
- Building and maintaining relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.
- Providing decision-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Advanced experience working with a combination of the following: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1
- Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint required
- Experience in ML modeling is a plus
- Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions
- Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines
- Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes
- A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals
- Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint required
- Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly + bonus + equity (if relevant) + benefits. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
