The Role

As an Experienced Manager State & Higher Education, you'll join our Southwest Business Department, where you'll coach and help to professionally develop our Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management. Your primary responsibility will be to increase sales, establish formal partnerships, and broaden awareness of our corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts. You'll also be responsible for identifying candidates, hiring, onboarding, and training a sales organization of trusted advisors in the managed travel industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales and establish formal partnerships with State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts

  • Coach and professionally develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management
  • Identify and hire top talent to join our sales organization of trusted advisors in the managed travel industry
  • Onboard and train new hires to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, educators, and other industry leaders
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to broaden awareness of our corporate travel programs and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of business plans and initiatives

Essential Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and driving business growth

  • Strong understanding of the managed travel industry, including government, education, and corporate travel markets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop team members
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of sales, marketing, and customer service principles

* Experience working in a remote environment, with a strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with a focus on customer relationship management and sales strategy
