About the Job

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Operator / Entry Level to join our team in RTP, NC. As a key member of our data management team, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing large volumes of data from paper documents into our digital database. Your attention to detail, strong typing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Responsibilities

• Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
• Type in data provided directly from customers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, utilizing your knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Verify data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring the integrity of our database.
• Update existing data, ensuring that our database remains current and accurate.
• Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, providing timely and efficient support to our team.
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation, maintaining the security and integrity of our database.
• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data, ensuring that it's not lost and remains easily accessible.

Requirements and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Proven experience as a data entry clerk: You'll have a strong background in data entry, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.
• Fast typing skills: You'll be a skilled typist, with a strong understanding of the touch typing system.
• Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets: You'll be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices: You'll have a solid understanding of office equipment and computer hardware, including printers, scanners, and keyboards.
• Basic understanding of databases: You'll have a basic understanding of database concepts, including data entry and retrieval.
• Good command of English, both oral and written, and customer service skills: You'll be able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing excellent customer service and support.
• Great attention to detail: You'll be meticulous in your work, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of your role.
• High school degree or equivalent: You'll have a high school degree or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and computer skills.
