Schedule and Work Environment

As a Part-Time (34 hours/week) Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you will work a flexible schedule of 34 hours per week, with hours available between 8am and 4:30pm CST, Monday through Friday. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home or office. With the flexibility to work from anywhere, you will have the freedom to manage your work-life balance while still delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you will be responsible for accurately entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests submitted by healthcare providers. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests expediently and efficiently to meet client turnaround times
  • Navigating efficiently and effectively through the imaging software to retrieve claims and authorizations for data entry
  • Differentiating between different claim types and following the appropriate data entry guidelines
  • Accurately identifying specific document types that require special handling
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure that work is completed in accordance with designated turnaround times
  • Supporting additional workflows as needed due to internal or external requirements

Additional Responsibilities

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also be expected to:

  • Perform quality review of other team members' claims/authorizations according to established data entry guidelines
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing additional responsibilities as needed
  • Alert management of potential issues upon identification of discrepancies
  • Provide recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiencies as appropriate

Qualifications and Requirements

To be a successful Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months or more years of experience in data entry or typing-focused role
  • Strong data entry/typing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Strong data entry skills, with the ability to accurately and efficiently enter data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests
