Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a significant volume of inbound calls, averaging between 70-120 calls daily, to address policyholder inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintaining effective communication with policyholders, providers, and third parties to ensure seamless interactions and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Staying informed about new and updated procedures regarding policy information to provide accurate and up-to-date information to policyholders.
  • Ensuring customer needs are met in every interaction, whether conducted via phone, email, or written correspondence, to deliver exceptional policyholder experiences.
  • Meeting established department standards for call volume, average call handling time, and effective time management to maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency.

Required Skills

To succeed as a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will need to possess:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with policyholders, providers, and third parties.
  • Proficient basic computer skills and Microsoft Office to navigate our systems and tools.
  • The ability to type at a minimum speed of 30 words per minute to efficiently manage call volumes.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks, manage multiple calls, and meet productivity standards.
  • The ability to multi-task and perform efficiently under pressure to handle high call volumes and complex issues.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume call center or similar role where daily phone interaction is essential.
  • Be at least 18 years old to meet the minimum age requirement.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent to demonstrate a strong foundation in communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Preference for individuals with remote work experience, although not mandatory, as we value flexibility and adaptability.
  • A reliable internet connection with at least 20 Mbps upload and download speed (hard-wired connection is necessary) to ensure seamless communication and data transfer.
  • Possession of a smartphone to access the VPN and stay connected with our team.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is advantageous but not required, as we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success.
  • A quiet and professional home office environment is required to maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency.

Our training program is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in your role and beyond.

Training and Onboarding

Our training program will last 2-3 weeks, conducted Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST. You will be required to be available for training during the weekdays between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM CST. Following training, you will work 40 hours per week on a Monday-Friday schedule, with no weekend shifts unless overtime is available.

Equipment and Resources

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will be provided with all necessary equipment, including a smartphone for VPN access. You will also have access to our comprehensive training program, ongoing support, and a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Employment Type

This is a full-time remote position, welcoming candidates from across the nation, with some exceptions.
