Job Summary

As a Senior Data Analyst at blithequark, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and drive growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that improve business outcomes and enhance the customer experience. This is a part-time, remote position that requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for data-driven storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

* Assemble comprehensive analyses, data visualizations, and multi-functional reporting that inform business decisions and drive growth

• Answer complex business questions and provide expert insights on various business streams, including D+ and Hulu, to improve the customer experience and increase conversions
• Advance the scientific capabilities of the business, collaborate in the design of analytical solutions, and deliver actionable insights and products that drive business outcomes
• Utilize data visualization tools, SQL, and programming languages to access and analyze structured and unstructured data
• Apply statistical methods (t-test, chi-square, ANOVA, regression, factor analysis, etc.) to understand customer behavior and preferences, and drive business impact across the organization

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering

• 3+ years of experience as a data analyst in an analytics and data science space, with expertise in SQL, Python, or R for complex querying, high-level analysis, performance optimization, and working with large datasets
• Experience delivering end-to-end analysis projects: from unclear requirements to a compelling story, open to diverse audiences, and ultimately to a clear business outcome
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and technical partners
• Ability to present to senior leadership and communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in a quantitative field

• Demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools, such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Looker, MicroStrategy, Plotly, etc.
• Experience with marketing landing pages, sign-up channels, and business spaces
• Ability to identify and escalate issues to management
• Counseling foundation, MBA, or other multi-industry experience
• Strong inspiration and ability to work independently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Humor and ability to connect with others through shared interests or areas of passion
