The Role of a Patient Care Advocate
As a Patient Care Advocate at blithequark, you will play a vital role in helping patients navigate the complexities of healthcare. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Responding to phone inquiries from patients, addressing their concerns, and providing expert guidance on pharmacy benefits and other healthcare-related topics
* Utilizing your exceptional listening skills to quickly identify the root of a patient's question and document all interactions in real-time
* Empathetically addressing patient concerns, escalating issues as necessary, and ensuring patients are equipped with the best advice to manage their healthcare
* Collaborating with your team to provide seamless support and ensure patients receive the highest level of care
Key Responsibilities:
* Help patients understand their pharmacy benefits and provide expert guidance on how to navigate the system
* Utilize your problem-solving skills and support from your team to answer patient calls effectively
* Document all interactions in real-time, ensuring accurate and timely communication with patients

What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A High School Diploma or GED
* A College degree or Junior College degree with a healthcare focus (preferred)
* At least 1 year of relevant customer care experience
* Intermediate to Advanced PC knowledge, including the ability to navigate multiple screens and systems
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Flexibility to work specified shifts and extended hours as necessary
