Job Summary

We are seeking two experienced Long-Term Substitute Grade 3 Teachers to join our team. The first position will start on August 14, 2023, and run through October 2023, while the second position will begin in early September 2023. As a Long-Term Substitute Grade 3 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction to students in Grade 3, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and collaborating with colleagues to support student learning.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality instruction to students in Grade 3, aligned with state and national standards

• Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional learning and academic achievement
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure student success
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices

Essential Qualifications

* Substitute license through the Educational Service Center or current teaching license issued by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE)

• PK-3 or PK-5 teaching license
• Experience working with elementary students, preferably in Grade 3
• Strong knowledge of curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to changing circumstances

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a hybrid remote and in-person teaching environment

• Familiarity with technology integration and digital tools for teaching and learning
• Experience with differentiated instruction and universal design for learning (UDL)
• Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and instructional design principles
• Ability to speak multiple languages or have experience working with diverse populations
