Job Summary

As a Senior Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems that support our business operations and customer experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive growth and improvement. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of our data systems, and for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop large-scale data systems that support business operations and customer experiences

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of data systems
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field
• Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes
• Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes
• Develop and maintain data visualizations and reporting tools
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop data-driven insights and recommendations
• Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge base for data systems and processes

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and developing large-scale data systems
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data lakes
• Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes
• Strong understanding of data security, scalability, and reliability
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
• Strong understanding of data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
• Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and developing large-scale data systems
• Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop or Spark
• Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or IBM Cloud
• Strong understanding of data governance and compliance
