About the Role

As an Experienced IT Operations Manager at blithequark, you'll be responsible for leading a team of technical professionals across multiple locations, providing highly-available IT support for Amazon employees worldwide. You'll work closely with our global organization to define the perfect customer experience and develop strategies to create that experience. Your expertise will be essential in helping the group develop and leverage their knowledge base to expedite the resolution of recurrent issues, identify ways to proactively reduce requests through automation, documentation, and process improvement, and set high standards for issue handling, escalation, and problem management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead a team of technical professionals across multiple locations, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services

  • Collaborate with the global organization to define the perfect customer experience and develop strategies to create that experience
  • Help the group develop and leverage their knowledge base to expedite the resolution of recurrent issues
  • Identify ways to proactively reduce requests through automation, documentation, and process improvement
  • Set high standards for issue handling, escalation, and problem management across the organization
  • Guide the team with metrics and goals that clearly measure their success
  • Manage local and/or remote resources to ensure the delivery of IT services
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication

Essential Qualifications:

* 5 years of experience developing a team of technical professionals across multiple locations

  • 2 years of experience leading technology teams as an IT Operations Manager
  • Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of professional or military experience
  • Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a cloud-based environment

  • Knowledge of AWS services and tools
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks and tools
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with process improvement and automation
