Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Customer Service Expert, you'll be responsible for:
- Handling and carefully responding to all customer inquiries with care and attention to detail
- Providing excellent customer service through active listening and empathy
- Working with confidential customer information and treating it sensitively
- Aiming to resolve issues on the first call by being proactive and resourceful
- Appropriately communicating with customers to ensure their needs are met
- Calmly attempting to resolve and de-escalate any issues that may arise
- Escalating interactions when necessary and appropriate
- Tracking all call-related information for auditing and reporting purposes
- Providing feedback on call issues to ensure continuous improvement
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Ability to work remotely in a virtual team environment
- 6 months of customer service experience (preferably in a mechanical or technical field)
- Over 18 years of age
- Ability to type 25 wpm
- High School Graduate or GED
- Comfort with desktop computer systems and Windows operating systems
- Proven oral and written communication skills
- Logical problem-solving skills
- Ability to navigate complex technical issues and provide clear, concise solutions
- Organization and work prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Nice-to-Haves
While not required, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working in a mechanical or technical field
- Knowledge of industry-specific software and systems
