Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative – Live Chat Support Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service through live chat, phone, and email support
  • Resolving customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Identifying and acting upon potential new sales opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Assisting with customer retention and upselling/cross-selling initiatives
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
  • Negotiating customer prices, service plan payments, and billing issues consistent with specified company guidelines
  • Preparing account changes and updates as needed
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex customer issues
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of customer interactions

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, with a preference for prior experience in a customer service setting
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong telephone skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Solid negotiating skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively
  • Computer proficiency and experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Flexibility to work weekday and weekend shifts, including evenings and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Experience with live chat software and customer service platforms
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with a focus on customer retention and upselling/cross-selling
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds
