Job Overview

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for delivering superior customer service to our clients, responding to their inquiries, and resolving their concerns in a prompt, respectful, and courteous manner. You will work under the direct supervision of our Customer Resource Supervisor in a fast-paced and dynamic call center environment, where no two days are ever the same. Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete training to become knowledgeable about blithequark's services and processes, including our waste management and recycling operations.
  • Respond to customer service calls, emails, and faxes in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that service issues and concerns are treated with respect and professionalism.
  • Effectively respond to routine issues regarding residential and commercial service matters, which may involve outbound calls and other communications to resolve service inquiries and equipment issues.
  • Return all internal and external calls, emails, and faxes in a timely manner to ensure that customers' concerns are understood, addressed, and resolved efficiently and completely.
  • Receive and review individual performance metric reports and action plans with your manager to understand your performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Enter service data into our computer system and log information about customer service interactions into our systems, updating information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent, including participating in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Essential Qualifications

  • 1 year of recent customer service or call center experience, preferably in a waste management or recycling environment.
  • Experience using bilingual skills, particularly Spanish, in a business environment is an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns in a fair and professional manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high volume of customer interactions and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of customer service or call center experience, preferably in a waste management or recycling environment.
  • Experience working with computer systems and software, including customer relationship management (CRM) systems and other technology platforms.
  • Knowledge of waste management and recycling operations, including industry trends and best practices.
  • Certification in customer service or a related field, such as the Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) designation.
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
