Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst at blithequark, your responsibilities will include:
- Working with large, messy, disparate datasets to perform ad-hoc analyses and provide essential business insights
- Creating ETLs or scripts that pull data from multiple locations and centralize it in a single table
- Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
- Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis to establish credibility and build relationships
- Analyzing stakeholder needs and working with them to provide relevant information, including partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product groups on data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems
- Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks for reporting, such as screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition
- Documenting your methods and sharing your expertise with colleagues
- Mentoring colleagues as you become a Subject Matter Expert
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity
- Creativity with a User Experience basis to develop impactful Tableau Dashboards
- Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to recognize and root out business problems
- A Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, advanced experience with SQL and Tableau, as well as experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations, would be a plus. Additionally, experience with scripting languages such as Python or other languages, as well as data manipulation tools like Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc., would be beneficial.
