As a Ramp & Customer Service Agent, you will be an integral part of this effort, working collaboratively with our airport teams to provide world-class service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp & Customer Service Agent, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Assisting guests with travel needs, such as answering inquiries, baggage handling, ticketing, checking-in passengers, and boarding flights
  • Performing below-wing functions, such as transporting baggage and cargo, loading and offloading luggage and cargo, aircraft marshaling, pushing back the aircraft, and aircraft deicing
  • Performing aircraft grooming and security searches
  • Processing and securing guest luggage, including filing and maintaining luggage claims as necessary
  • Loading and offloading luggage and cargo using conveyor belts
  • Assisting and directing guests, making announcements, processing standby's and upgrade requests
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management to ensure complete guest satisfaction

As a Ramp & Customer Service Agent, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks and interactions. You will work closely with our airport teams to ensure that every guest has a seamless and enjoyable experience. You will be responsible for handling multiple tasks simultaneously, working in a fast-paced environment, and adapting to changing situations. Your ability to think on your feet, communicate effectively, and provide exceptional customer service will be essential to your success in this role.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

To be successful as a Ramp & Customer Service Agent, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid unexpired driver's license issued by a US state, a US territory, or the District of Columbia
  • Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel
  • Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

* A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience

  • Airport SIDA Badge Requirements: Employees will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing in order to keep their SIDA badge. Review the SIDA Badge Requirements document for a comprehensive overview.
