Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Representative at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Issuing, reissuing, and refunding traveler tickets.
  • Booking, ticketing, and confirming flight reservations.
  • Rebooking travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations.
  • Performing traveler check-in and boarding tasks, including ticketing and baggage handling.
  • Working door scanners and related duties, including pre-boarding, carry-on bag scanning, and departure gate management.
  • Operating jetways and bridges for boarding and deplaning passengers.
  • Making boarding and departure gate announcements.
  • Conveying domestic and international flight documents.
  • Performing customer service flight close-out procedures.
  • Accepting, checking, and labeling passengers' baggage at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and premium ticket counters.
  • Maintaining the schedule of the flight boarding process.
  • Performing customer service hands-on training.
  • Processing and completing visa document exchanges at ticket counters and activation stations.
  • Assisting passengers with self-service kiosk check-in and ticket counter staff handling at ticket counters.
  • Operating lines at ticket counter booths and ticket counters.
  • Clearing and checking international documents at ticket counters and activation stations.
  • Accepting and activating passengers' self-labeled bags at activation stations.
  • Assisting passengers requiring special assistance or in-station help, including boarding, deplaning, and shipping non-ambulatory passengers, special assistance passengers, and unaccompanied minors.
  • Performing customer service work related to handling regional flights and ground handling arrangements or agreements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual language skills in certain areas.
  • A valid driver's license as required by local authorities.
  • To satisfy FAA background checks to qualify for unescorted access badges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
  • To obtain suitable airport power or US Customs security identification, if required.
  • To pass a pre-employment drug screen, thorough background check, or fingerprinting to meet company and security requirements.
  • To be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will be advantageous:

  • Working knowledge of Sabre or other passenger service systems.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Experience working in a high-speed environment.
