Job Summary

As an Experienced Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, utilizing your personal computer and a range of data entry equipment. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You'll be responsible for transferring data from paper formats, verbal recordings, and other sources, ensuring that our databases, records, and files are up-to-date and secure.

Responsibilities

* Transfer data from paper formats via computer, recorders, or scanners, accurately and efficiently

  • Enter data into appropriate fields, databases, records, and files, with a focus on precision and attention to detail
  • Handle numerical data accurately, creating spreadsheets and organizing data with large numbers
  • Curate data directly from speech or interviews, ensuring that information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Update databases or records with new information as it becomes available, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity
  • Correct and modify inaccurate files and records, taking ownership of data quality and accuracy
  • Type data directly and accurately, utilizing your typing skills to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
  • Comply with security backups and regular checks to ensure data is saved and stored properly, maintaining the confidentiality and security of customer/client information
  • Summarize data for standardized reports, providing clear and concise insights into customer/client information
  • View and verify confidential or private customer/client information, protecting their identities and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality
  • Verify data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation, ensuring that information is accurate and reliable
  • Organize paper formats, paper backups, and material source files as needed, maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Assist team members when needed to accomplish team goals, demonstrating a collaborative and supportive approach to work

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Skilled knowledge in generating process documentation, with the ability to create clear and concise reports
  • Ability to assist team members when needed, demonstrating a collaborative and supportive approach to work
  • Fast and accurate typist, with the ability to meet typing speed requirements
  • Ability to speak confidently, clearly, and professionally for voice recording data
  • Understanding of data confidentiality principles and the ability to follow them to the letter
  • High school diploma; associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in business, administration, or a related field (not required but preferred)
  • Prior experience handling data entry responsibilities or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company, with a focus on continuous improvement and professional development
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision, with a high level of autonomy and independence
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly of Excel spreadsheets
  • Pays strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Knowledge of touch typing system preferred
