Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at blithequark, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth across various departments, including Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental. You will be responsible for assessing customer needs, providing product information, and making recommendations to drive sales. Your primary goal will be to build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide solutions that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide fast, friendly, and personalized service to customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded

  • Learn about products and services using our tools and resources, and provide information to customers to drive sales
  • Assess customer needs and provide recommendations to drive sales, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and services
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless customer experiences
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety policies and standards
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or sales environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in a retail or sales environment

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other sales tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
