Responsibilities

As an Entry-Level Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, your responsibilities will include:

  • Confidentiality: Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information and adhering to our company's data protection policies.
  • Data Entry: Inserting customer and account data by inputting text-based and numerical information from source documents within time limits.
  • Data Preparation: Compiling, verifying the accuracy, and sorting information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry.
  • Data Review: Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities if possible, and checking the output.
  • Research: Researching and obtaining further information for incomplete documents.
  • Data Program Techniques: Applying data program techniques and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient data entry.
  • Reporting: Generating reports, storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations.
  • Document Management: Scanning documents and printing files, when needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including touch typing and database management tools.
  • Data Entry Skills: Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience: Experience working in a data entry role is a plus, but not required.
