Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment. You'll be the primary point of contact for patients, handling new and reorder requests, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of specialty medications. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment, handling new and reorder requests, and addressing any concerns or issues

  • Coordinate and process new and reorder requests, including verifying and updating patient information
  • Assist patients with deciphering and entering new or reordered medications into the pharmacy's data system
  • Collect and process copay payments, obtain approvals, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with records of sales or clinical issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of specialty medications
  • Provide empathetic and genuine care to patients and clients, resolving issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner

Essential Qualifications

* One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone

  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness

Preferred Qualifications

* Six months of experience handling a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone

  • Medical services work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology

Education

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and concerns
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
