Job Summary
As a Senior Data Scientist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, driving business decisions, and developing predictive models to drive business growth. You'll work closely with our Product Frameworks and Examination group to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and develop actionable insights that inform business strategies. Key Responsibilities
* Lead cross-functional teams, collaborating with Examiners, Specialized Associates, and Business Pioneers to develop business strategies and drive decision-making.
- Interpret business needs into specific product requirements, driving the development of data-driven solutions.
- Lead design meetings, aligning technical approaches to business drivers, challenges, and long-term objectives.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to address business issues, utilizing specialized tools and retail frameworks.
- Establish and execute data science group best practices, leading code audits for colleagues.
- Create compelling visuals, diagrams, and graphs that resonate with data, tailored to various audiences.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques (regression, AI, clustering) to drive significant insights.
Requirements
* 2+ years of experience developing Examination, Measurable, or AI models to extract insights and address business challenges, preferably in a retail setting.
- Proficiency in web analysis and visitor segmentation using data to drive informed decisions and improve online experiences.
- Lead small teams in rapid and accurate data analysis, feature definition, and creative problem-solving for business challenges.
- Ability to work on complex issues, creating data-driven stories for direction.
- Cloud stage/tech capability.
- Familiarity with AI or machine learning methods.
- Ability to investigate and underlying driver analysis.
- Successful in fast-paced, changing environments.
- Preferred knowledge of various project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, scrum).
- Proficient relational skills for effective team and individual communication.
- Familiarity with various data technology areas:
+ Data pipelines and ETL tools (e.g., SQL, SSIS, Knime, Alteryx, Scene Prep) + Database platforms including Snowflake and SQL Server + Preprocessing languages (e.g., Snowscript, JavaScript, VBA, Python) + Factual and Data Science languages (e.g., R, SAS, Python for Data Science) + Utilization of AI strategies. + Experience with advanced analytical systems (e.g., regression analysis, clustering, statistical inference, hypothesis testing, p-values, causal inference, Random Forest, Bagging, Boosting, Time Series).
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
- Experience working with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles.
