Job Summary
We're seeking an Experienced Chat Moderator to join our remote team. As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for managing our online community, ensuring that our users adhere to our community guidelines, and resolving conflicts in a fair and respectful manner. This is a part-time, flexible position that offers the opportunity to work from anywhere and make a real difference in the lives of our users.
Key Responsibilities
As an Experienced Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for:
- Moderating our online community, ensuring that users adhere to our community guidelines and rules
- Deleting messages that violate our community guidelines and rules
- Banning users who repeatedly violate our community guidelines and rules
- Muting users who have violated our community guidelines and rules
- Investigating reports made by users about violations of our community guidelines and rules
- Collaborating with our team to develop and implement community guidelines and rules
- Providing excellent customer service and support to our users
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in community management and conflict resolution
Qualifications
To be successful as an Experienced Chat Moderator, you'll need:
- To be at least 18 years old
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiarity with community management software and tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in community management, conflict resolution, or a related field
- Familiarity with Discord or other community management platforms
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
- Strong knowledge of online safety and security best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
