Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, working from the comfort of your own home in New Jersey. As a key member of our team, you'll provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, ensuring their needs are met with compassion, care, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
  • Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Communicating and collecting copay amounts from patients
  • Obtaining authorizations from insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams
  • Screening, identifying, resolving, and deferring orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely processing of specialty medications and meet financial and clinical expectations

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
