Technical Intern 2

BAE Systems is a leading defense, aerospace, and security company that values technical excellence. They are seeking a Test Engineering Intern to support the design and development of test solutions while gaining hands-on experience in engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Support senior engineering personnel in the design, development and selection of basic hardware components utilizing fundamental electrical and mechanical engineering principles, theories and techniques
• Support senior engineering personnel in the design and development of test software
• Develop and revise technical drawing packages based on examples and company standards
• Perform technical assignments of an investigatory, design, or test nature requiring limited analysis and evaluation, selection and application of basic engineering principles, theories and techniques
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, resolution, and implementation of change requests to update the test software/hardware that are critical to keep our production lines moving
• Prepare charts, diagrams, and reports expressing technical progress and accomplishments measured against specific plans
• Support of products ranging from component level to systems level analog, digital, optical, and RF units
• Hands-on support and use of test instrumentation, including, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, DC/AC Power Supplies, Waveform Generators, Digital Multimeters, etc.)

Skills

• Pursing a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related STEM field
• Must have completed the equivalent of Sophomore year by summer of 2026
• Ability to research and apply engineering principles and theories to solve problems
• Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
• Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• General familiarization with operating test instrumentation/lab equipment
