As an Information Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for designing and building core features and components of card exchange systems on a distributed platform hosted in a hybrid cloud environment. You'll work closely with senior architects and other technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.Key Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed data processing and analytics systems, with a focus on performant code and scalable architecture.
- Develop and deploy features, working closely with designers and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Build proof-of-concepts (POCs) to test new ideas and technologies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry-leading innovations and technologies, and contribute to the development of low-latency distributed systems.
- Lead by example and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation, encouraging a results-driven and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Work closely with peer innovation and development teams across various areas to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in software development and deployment using Java or Scala.
- Experience in data processing using Flash.
- Knowledge of designing, implementing, and working with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Elasticsearch.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in distributed data processing and analytics using Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Flash.
- Experience in message queuing systems like Kafka.
- Experience in building microservices and Service Mesh is a plus.
- Experience in cloud platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift is a plus.
- Experience in Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and DevOps frameworks.
- Clear understanding of different design patterns, threading, and memory models supported by the language/VM.
- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to senior management.
