We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Service Agent to join our team as a Trip Assignment Specialist. This role offers the unique opportunity to work remotely from the comfort of your own home, making a difference in the lives of our members during evening shifts, Monday (night) to Friday (night), from 11:30pm to 8am PT.

Job Overview

The Trip Assignment Specialist is a critical member of our team, responsible for assigning trips to dispatchers and Care Partners on a nightly basis. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As a Trip Assignment Specialist, you will be the backbone of our evening operations, ensuring that our members receive the best possible service during our evening hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign trips to dispatchers in the Health-E Rides system, managing approximately 700-900 trips per night with precision and efficiency.
  • Build dispatchers' daily schedules, taking into account breaks and lunches to ensure seamless operations.
  • Stack trips to contracted Care Partners, optimizing our transportation network for maximum efficiency.
  • Answer inbound calls from members during evening hours, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate evening trips as they come in, ensuring that our members receive prompt and reliable transportation.
  • Assist with Care Partner related administrative tasks, such as payment processing, to ensure the smooth operation of our transportation network.
  • Assist with Level 1 administrative tickets in Zendesk, providing support to our members and internal teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Previous experience in dispatching and coordinating transportation, preferably in a non-emergency medical transportation setting.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred, but not required. However, a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and its unique challenges is an asset.
  • Consistently reliable and able to work evening shifts, Monday (night) to Friday (night), from 11:30pm to 8am PT. This requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, the following skills and competencies are preferred:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our members, dispatchers, and Care Partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in the Health-E Rides system, or similar transportation management software, is an asset.
  • Experience with Zendesk, or similar customer service software, is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of customer service principles and practices, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our members.
