The Role
As a Full Stack Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure that our data systems are scalable, reliable, and secure. Your expertise will help us to unlock new insights, drive business growth, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop data warehousing solutions, including ETL pipelines in large data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts to develop and implement data solutions
- Develop and maintain data models, data structures, and data pipelines using Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, and other technologies
- Work with our tech stack, including Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flash, and Windstream, and languages such as Python, Scala
- Ensure high operational efficiency and quality of solutions to meet SLAs and support our clients (Data Science, Data Analysis teams)
- Participate in agile/scrum practices to ensure team well-being and cycle improvements
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to support data quality and data governance
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field
- Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
- Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
- Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query)
- Strong experience in data integration toolsets (i.e. Windstream) and writing and maintaining data pipelines
- Strong knowledge of data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard practices
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud technologies like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
