Job Overview

This exciting remote opportunity is part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for performing daily functions related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers at arenaflex Credit Union. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional customer service, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to the overall success of our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete data entry and balancing functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues promptly
  • Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing to provide seamless support
  • Work member cases/sports assigned to you, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
  • Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure accuracy and security
  • Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns to maintain accurate records
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching to prevent errors and ensure compliance
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing to ensure smooth operations
  • Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
  • Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information to prevent errors
  • Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers efficiently
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers
  • Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word skills
  • Previous customer/member service experience (preferred)
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience (preferred)
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience (preferred)

  • Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs
