Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Entry Clerk / Typing Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data management processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
  • Typing in data provided directly from customers with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, using MS Office Word and Excel
  • Verifying data by comparing it to source documents to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Updating existing data and retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation and security
  • Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost or misplaced

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk, with a strong track record of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Fast typing skills, with a knowledge of touch typing systems (strongly preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets, including MS Office Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases and data management principles
  • Good command of English, both oral and written, and customer service skills
  • High school degree or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and computer science
