Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients and customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
- Processing prescriptions, including entering patient and medication data, filling prescriptions, and verifying accuracy
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information, medication lists, and inventory levels
- Registering sales, processing voids, returns, and exchanges, and handling customer transactions
- Assisting with inventory management, including receiving and stocking shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and adhering to company policies and procedures
- Collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director or Senior Supervisor
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., pharmacy, healthcare, business)
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail or healthcare environment, preferably in a pharmacy setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain accurate records and process prescriptions efficiently
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and pharmacy software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues and improve processes
Preferred Qualifications:
* PTCB certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience with pharmacy software and inventory management systems
- Strong numerical skills, with the ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh prescriptions
- Familiarity with store stock control and inventory management
- Previous experience working with Walgreens or a similar retail pharmacy environment
