Job Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients and customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Processing transactions, including registering sales, collecting cash, and dispensing change as needed
- Maintaining accurate records, including patient and medication data, and processing voids, returns, and exchanges
- Assisting pharmacists with tasks, such as entering patient and medication data, filling prescriptions, and checking for potential interactions
- Reporting medication errors to pharmacists and adhering to organization policies and procedures
- Handling calls and responding to customer inquiries, including those related to prescription medications and over-the-counter products
- Processing manual claims for external program prescription services and performing other administrative tasks as assigned
- Assisting with stock management, including receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory
- Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including counters, shelves, and stockrooms
- Providing support for food and product displays, including resets and corrections
- Operating store systems and equipment, including cash registers, scanners, and inventory management software
- Participating in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy and customer service
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., pharmacy, healthcare, business)
- 1+ year of experience in a retail or healthcare environment, preferably in a pharmacy setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, pharmacists, and other team members
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management software
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions and maintaining records
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems and equipment, including cash registers, scanners, and inventory management software
Preferred Qualifications:
* 6+ months of experience in a retail or healthcare environment, preferably in a pharmacy setting
- Previous experience with Walgreens or a similar organization
- Strong numerical skills, with the ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh prescriptions
- Familiarity with store stock control and inventory management systems
- PTCB certification or willingness to obtain certification through the assigned PTCB training program
