The Role
As a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our data-driven initiatives. You'll work closely with our Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge data solutions that drive business growth and innovation. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us unlock the full potential of our data assets, and we're excited to have you on board!
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development and implementation of our data items and data warehouses, focusing on Commitment and Maintenance Examination and Information Science
- Design and develop flexible data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in Large Data conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
- Our tech stack includes Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flash, and Wind stream, with languages including Python, Scala
- Collaborate with Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions
- Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data administration
- Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support our clients (Information Science, Information Examination groups)
- Be a proactive member and advocate of agile/scrum practice to ensure well-being and cycle enhancements for your team
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
- Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
- Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query)
- Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e Wind current) and writing and maintaining data pipelines
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
- Strong involvement in data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard systems and practices
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
