Job Summary
As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst, you will be responsible for utilizing data to drive business decisions, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to enhance the Quality Control division. You will work closely with the Quality Control group to analyze data, identify trends, and develop recommendations to improve processes and reduce risks. This is a 12-week remote internship position, starting May 21, 2024, and ending August 9, 2024, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform and assist others in the Quality Control group in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components.
- Help with creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders.
- Assist with exploring ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging maintenance issues and provide logical answers to enable Senior Leaders to make business decisions while balancing existing project responsibilities.
- Present insights, patterns, and potential recommendations by utilizing data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding.
- Help with creating and disseminating specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements.
- Identify irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and convey findings to the Group.
- Assess the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors.
- Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision.
- May perform other work duties as directed by Group Leader.
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets with precision and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively listen, understand, and convey ideas and results to diverse audiences.
- Ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong understanding of data visualization tools and technologies, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase.
- Ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning.
- Willingness to work independently in a team-oriented environment, with a focus on responsibilities and a self-motivated mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
* Past internship, capstone project, or research experience in a related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Alteryx, or QuickBase.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data appropriately.
- Experience with project management and coordination, with a focus on planning and supporting large business initiatives.

* Competitive hourly rate of $28 per hour.
