Experienced Customer Service Representative – Air Travel Industry

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing excellent service to customers, handling various aspects of ticketing and baggage, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities:

* Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish

  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information on flights, baggage, and other travel-related matters
  • Operate a computerized ticketing system, process transactions, and handle cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payment
  • Manage baggage and freight, ensuring timely and efficient handling
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues related to oversold flights, delayed or cancelled flights, lost or damaged baggage, and other travel-related issues
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on flight schedules, reservations, and other travel-related matters
  • Complete forms and reports as required by the organization
  • Write incident and complaint reports as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of airline operations and procedures
  • Ability to type or use a computer keyboard with speed and accuracy
  • Familiarity with electronic ticketing systems and baggage handling procedures
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
