Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Consultant on our Aetna Answer Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to client service requests and issues in a call center environment
  • Delivering first-call resolution for 90-95% of inquiries, which requires accurately identifying, researching, and resolving issues based on initial client communication
  • Providing support for enrollment and billing inquiries, commissions, technical support, and group administration
  • Demonstrating exceptional customer service skills in all interactions with clients
  • Utilizing problem-solving skills to address and resolve client concerns effectively
  • Developing technical acumen to resolve more complex issues that may arise

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prior call center experience is required
  • Experience in process improvement and root-cause analysis methodologies is preferred
  • The capability to develop technical acumen is necessary
  • A strong client-facing orientation is essential
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills are required
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills are necessary

Nice-to-haves

While not required, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced call center environment
  • Knowledge of health care industry and terminology
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other customer service tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
