Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Exceptional Customer Service: Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Assisting Pharmacists: Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Registering Sales: Register sales on assigned cash register, provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Organized Store: Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records.
  • Performing Duties as Assigned: Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medicine.
  • Reporting Prescription Errors: Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
  • Handling Telephone Calls: Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
  • Processing Manual Claims: Process (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assisting with Inventory Management: Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
  • Constructing and Maintaining Displays: Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise.
  • Providing Customer Service in the Photo Area: Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine.
  • Assuming Web Pick-up Responsibilities: Assume web pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring orders, filling orders, and delivering orders to customers.
  • Assisting with Exterior and Interior Maintenance: Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.

Essential Qualifications

* PTCB Certification: Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous customer service experience in a retail or healthcare environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Pharmacy Experience: Previous experience in a retail pharmacy environment.

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification: Pharmacy technician certification (e.g., CPhT).
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including knowledge of pharmacy systems and software.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual or multilingual skills.
