Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Clerk to join our team and support the JAMRS contract. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately inputting and managing data related to military recruitment and advertising strategies. This role involves handling a high volume of data entry tasks, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining organized records. You will work closely with our data management team to support research and analysis efforts that inform effective recruitment campaigns.

Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately inputting a variety of data into databases, spreadsheets, and other data management systems.
  • Reviewing data for accuracy and completeness, making corrections as necessary.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and organized records of all data entries, ensuring easy retrieval and reference.
  • Verifying the accuracy of data by cross-referencing it with source documents and reports.
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies or inconsistencies in data entries.
  • Assisting in regular data audits to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data systems.
  • Assisting the data management team in organizing and managing large datasets.
  • Helping with the preparation of data reports, summaries, and presentations as needed.
  • Providing administrative support for data-related tasks, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
  • Working closely with analysts, researchers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate data entry.
  • Communicating effectively with team members to clarify data entry requirements and resolve any issues.
  • Participating in team meetings to stay informed about project updates and data needs.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
  • Adhering to all security protocols and guidelines related to data handling and storage.
  • Ensuring that all data entry tasks comply with relevant regulations and company policies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or coursework in data management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience (1-2 years preferred) in data entry, data management, or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency in data entry software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, Access, or other database management systems).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of data privacy and confidentiality principles.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) and successfully complete a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check and a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) check.

Nice-to-haves

* Experience working with or within the Department of Defense (DoD).

  • Familiarity with JAMRS and its mission and objectives.
  • Basic knowledge of military recruitment processes or advertising data.
