The Role

As a Manager State & Higher Education, you will be responsible for executing the strategic direction of State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. You will coach and help to professionally develop the Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management, driving sales growth and establishing formal partnerships. Your expertise will be instrumental in broadening awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services to SLED managed travel accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales and establish formal partnerships with SLED managed travel accounts

  • Coach and professionally develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management
  • Identify and hire top talent to build a sales organization of trusted Advisors in the managed travel industry
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and development
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including SLED officials and arenaflex leadership
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices to ensure arenaflex remains a leader in the business travel space

Essential Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry

  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and establishing formal partnerships
  • Strong coaching and development skills, with experience in mentoring and leading high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed business decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

  • Familiarity with arenaflex's products and services
  • Knowledge of the SLED managed travel industry and its key players
  • Experience with sales force automation tools and CRM systems
  • Certification in a related field, such as travel management or hospitality
