Job Summary

Responsibilities

As a Billing Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

• Completing and submitting UB-04 claim forms accurately and in compliance with Medicare guidelines
• Utilizing DDE systems to enter and manage claims directly with Medicare
• Leveraging Inovalon software for claims tracking, data verification, and performance optimization
• Reviewing resident data and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and billing accuracy
• Following up on claim rejections, denials, and adjustments; correcting and resubmitting as necessary
• Coordinating with nursing home staff and billing departments to resolve discrepancies
• Maintaining organized records of all billing activities and documentation
• Staying up-to-date with Medicare regulations and billing changes relevant to skilled nursing facilities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Proven experience in data entry or billing within a healthcare setting, preferably long-term care or nursing homes
• Familiarity with Medicare billing, especially using UB-04 forms
• Experience with DDE systems and Inovalon software is required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical billing is a plus
