Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers, learning about our products, and selling entire projects to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments to achieve sales targets and provide a safe working and shopping environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance

  • Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring it is clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty, and working safely as not to endanger yourself, co-workers, vendors, or customers
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
  • Participate in sales training and development programs to improve sales skills and knowledge
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction goals
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve sales targets and provide a seamless customer experience

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or sales environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a sales or customer service role in a retail or sales environment

  • Knowledge of building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen & bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental products
  • Experience with sales software and technology
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
  • Certification in sales or customer service
