About the Licensing Division

The Licensing Division at arenaflex is responsible for licensing more than 45,000 businesses in over 40 industries and enforcing key consumer protection, licensing, and workplace laws. Our team is committed to providing exceptional customer service to licensing applicants, ensuring that they have a positive experience when interacting with our division.

Job Summary

We are seeking an Experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Licensing Division. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing high-volume customer service to licensing applicants in person and via phone, processing applications, and performing clerical work including routine data processing functions, recording, researching, checking and maintaining records. You will also be responsible for attending seminars, meetings, and/or trainings, and following all division and agency policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide high-volume customer service to licensing applicants in person and via phone

  • Process applications, including routine data processing functions, recording, researching, checking and maintaining records
  • Assist applicants with outreach to other city agencies, as well as interagency communication to help resolve issues pertaining to their license
  • Answer telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence and communicate applicant information
  • Attend seminars, meetings, and/or trainings
  • Perform ordinary mathematical computations while accepting and processing payments
  • Check records for accuracy of information and for conformity with established policy and procedures
  • Follow all division and agency policies and procedures

Qualifications

* A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization

  • One year of satisfactory clerical experience
  • Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
