Job Summary

As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in helping us build and maintain our data infrastructure. You'll work closely with our Cyber ML/AI team to design, develop, and implement data engineering pipelines that support our cyber security initiatives. Your expertise will be essential in helping us detect and prevent cyber threats, and you'll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities

* Participate in data warehousing and data engineering projects across multiple databases, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement in our data schema.

• Review and analyze data control business, operational, or technical assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of options, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium-risk deliverables.
• Present recommendations for resolving more complex data control issues and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of business data policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate and consult with technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including internal and external clients as applicable.
• Develop and maintain data engineering pipelines for diverse data sources (databases, APIs, etc.).
• Work with visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Splunk, or similar to create data visualizations and insights.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and contribute to the development of arenaflex's data engineering and cyber security strategy.

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

• 2+ years of data engineering experience, or equivalent validated by work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience working with data analysis tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years of Python programming experience.

• Minimum of 1 year of data analysis experience in the financial services industry.
• Minimum of 1 year of cyber security experience.
• Experience working with data engineering pipelines and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data engineering platforms and tools.
