Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative – Union Benefits Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in educating members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to members via phone, email, and chat
  • Educating members about the benefits available to them through their union affiliation
  • Answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of member interactions
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets (optional) by upselling or cross-selling additional benefits to interested members

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (optional)

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will make you an even stronger candidate:

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills (a plus, but not necessary)
  • Experience working with labor unions, credit unions, or associations
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and coordination
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
