Responsibilities

As an Experienced Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
  • Typing in data provided directly from customers with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, using software such as MS Office Excel
  • Verifying data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our digital database
  • Updating existing data and retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation and prevent loss
  • Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost and remains easily accessible

Requirements and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk, with a strong background in accounting and administration
  • Fast typing skills, with a knowledge of touch typing systems (strongly preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets, including MS Office Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases and data management principles
  • Good command of English, both oral and written, with excellent customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
  • High school degree or equivalent, with a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development

Essential Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in data entry and administration, with a strong background in accounting

  • Proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and administration
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with databases and data management software

  • Knowledge of touch typing systems and fast typing skills
  • Certification in data entry or administration, such as Certified Data Entry Specialist (CDES)
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
