Job Description
As a JavaScript Engineer on our Customer Developer Experience team, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of ecommerce search and discovery. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining open-source UI components and client libraries that make it effortless to integrate our product discovery platform into web and mobile apps
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and functionality
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during development and deployment
- Communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and adoption of our platform
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in JavaScript, React, and related technologies to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A minimum of two years professional and/or academic experience in software engineering
- Proficiency with JavaScript and React (TypeScript experience a plus)
- Ability to communicate with clarity in written and verbal context, comfortable engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively triage issues and prioritize tasks
- Ability to pick up new technologies and design patterns quickly
- Experience with automated testing fundamentals and best practices
- Ability to work within GMT-3 and GMT+3 time zones
