Position Overview

Location:
Chickamauga, GA (commutable to/from Chattanooga, TN)
Full-Time:
37.5 hours/week
Classroom Type:
PreK general education setting with approx. 17 students
Team:
Collaborate with a lead teacher and a second paraprofessional
Focus:
Support students with IEPs and developmental needs
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with academic instruction and behavior management for PreK students
- Provide individualized support to students with special needs
- Help implement IEP goals in a general education environment
- Create an inclusive, patient, and engaging classroom atmosphere
- Assist with classroom routines, hygiene, and learning materials
What You'll Need

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification:
Pending or active Georgia Paraprofessional Certification (GaPSC)
Background Checks:
Must complete district fingerprinting and background checks
Experience:
Experience with PreK or students receiving special education services preferred
Attitude:
A caring, flexible attitude and strong classroom presence
