Responsibilities

As a Crisis Counselor Chat Part-Time (2nd Shift) at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing real-time, compassionate, non-judgmental crisis support to clients through our online chat service, utilizing your exceptional listening and communication skills to build trust and rapport.
  • Attending initial trainings and all-staff meetings during daytime hours 1-2 times per month, to stay up-to-date on best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Dispatching additional client services, such as Mobile Crisis Outreach, when necessary, to ensure seamless support and connection with clients.
  • Documenting each chat contact to ensure quality record keeping, maintaining accurate and detailed records of client interactions.

Requirements

To be successful as a Crisis Counselor Chat Part-Time (2nd Shift) at arenaflex, you'll need to possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in human service or any field, plus one year of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in a human service-related field.
  • Comfort using basic computer software and basic typing and data entry skills, with the ability to type quickly and multi-task.
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in writing.
  • A private home office to ensure confidentiality and reliable, high-speed internet at home.

Nice-to-haves

While not essential, the following qualifications and experiences are highly desirable:

  • Experience in crisis services, with a proven track record of delivering compassionate support in high-pressure situations.
