Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate I, you'll be responsible for:

• Assisting customers with questions and recommendations to ensure they find the products they need
• Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register to provide a seamless checkout experience
• Maintaining the security of cash and protecting company assets to prevent loss and ensure a safe working environment
• Keeping the store well-stocked and recovering merchandise to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers
• Receiving merchandise and helping with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the store

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment (highly preferred)
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
• Physical ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment
• Knowledge of retail operations and procedures
• Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
